Since it was Valentine’s Day yesterday, further spreading the love by featuring a dear friend’s wedding that took place last November 21, 2012.
And it started with a kiss…
Meet Joelle (Welly) and Janus Villalva!
A sight to behold, Menchit Ongpin, looking sleek in Filipiniana and all set for the ceremony to begin. Although she may be mistaken for the bride here, this gorgeous photographer is actually the mother of the beautiful bride….
Modern Filipiniana was the theme and Menchit was radiant in her Danilo Franco flowing chiffon gown in beige with asymmetric flounces perfectly paired with an embroidered wrap overblouse and butterfly sleeves….
But of course you can’t compete with Grandma Tillie….
With handsome son, Martin, they are ready to walk their precious Welly down the aisle.
I’ve been so excited to see Welly make her entrance, my heart has been beating so fast….
And here comes the beautiful BEAUTIFUL bride……
All eyes were definitely on her!
All-glowing Welly in an all-pina, empire-line embroidered gown again by Danilo Franco with Samapaguitas and butterflies and a rectangular train topped by a traditionally folded panuelo with crystals, glass beads and pearls that added a subtle sparkle!
Hair jewelry and fresh adornments on the hair complete the modern Filipiniana look….
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something…. Guess where the blue is? 😉
Janus was dashing in his barong (again by Danilo Franco) in a traditional cut from pina that also featured embroidered motifs of Sampaguitas and butterflies and defined further by callado details. Nice!
Sister is reminding Welly that God is watching her… Is that a good or bad thing? 😉
No wonder I kept hearing my name! Meet the more popular Guada….
Congratulations Welly and Janus!!! Woo-hoo!!! We’re looking forward to lots of babies haha!
