Fire & Eyes From the South

It’s been raining in Manila and summertime is over. But as I put this together, the sun is out and shining (well, sort of)! Which then has me reflecting on what I did last summer. And it was all work, but wonderful work I tell you! One of them being a shoot for a newly renovated resort down South in Cebu.

Upon our arrival early that morning, this was the scenery that greeted us at Cebu Movenpick….

What a major impact it definitely makes when the first glance is this breathtaking!  Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!

During the day, lots of energizing greens and cool blues, clean lines and organic shapes (Mallorca, is that you?)…

This what I call a full glass of ambiance….

Oh yeah, I’m here to work! Travel master photographer, Paco Guerrero on the lookout. Could we have stumbled upon the real James Bond?!…James Bond 2

Must. Focus. On. Work. But who can blame me if our setting is this wonderful and relaxing?! And that was the hard part, staying focused. It really doesn’t help when the surroundings were designed to help people relax….

And since today’s a Monday, here’s my fair share of the Monday blues (don’t you just hate me?!? Haha!)….

And don’t forget your greens….

Together with this… Wedding decor

… Looks like a wonderful wedding reception setup, simple, tone-on-tone while the location takes care of the rest. Just perfect!

These cantilever tanning beds just make everything all better, if that’s even possible!

As night begins to fall, the resort transforms….

photo 4Soon, I am hypnotized by the fire. Reminding myself, I’m here to work. Must. Stay. Focused. I. Am. Here. For. Work.

At night

Loved every bit of the resort, which includes the friendliest staff…

And a chocolate hour every afternoon. Meaning free chocolates! I’m serious!

Chocolate hourSpeaking of serious, that was a serious tray of chocolates! Most of you actually may know the Movenpick name from its line of Swiss chocolates and ice-cream. So it’s great that they enhance that fact with a chocolate hour!

Pair it up with some wine. The resort’s owner apparently has his own line of wines. Too bad we didn’t get the chance to try it, but from what I hear it’s not bad at all….

A friend asked me that since I was there for work, would I recommend the place to visit with the family and now I can definitely say “Yes!”.

See you again soon, Movenpick!

Hello and goodbye
