Eyeing Sabang Simplicity

Don’t you wish you can live the simple life?

It’s all about scaling down and getting the most out of life by doing what you love and spending time with the people you love.  The simpler things are, the more you can also appreciate what nature has to offer.  I look forward to the day when I can live in my quaint cottage by the beach. Learn to take a break and leave behind your hectic work lifestyle and toxic, fast-paced city living. Escape and reboot for a better version of you!

Last weekend was such an escape. The best ones seem to be the most unexpected and last minute. During an exhausting shoot just over a week ago, my dear friend, Jenny Pascual invited me to Palawan. Overworked and “zombified”, I knew I had to say yes!

You work so hard in the hopes of that wonderful, simple life for the future. I read somewhere that to live simply is not a destination, but rather a journey….

Our Sabang, Palawan destination last weekend painted a spectacular picture of that journey towards a simple life. …

Where some of the major decision-making would be whether to take a breezy afternoon nap on a lounge chair or on a hammock…

Or body boarding or surfing?

In a simple life, this would be TRAFFIC….

A PARKING LOT….

Your GARAGE….

For special occasions, you can take out the FERRARI….

And head on over to the best BAR in town….

Or dine on the freshest vegetables and seafood; be self-sustainable, and live off the land and sea…

(I was hooked on our resort’s own organically-grown salad veggies and bangus ceviche!)

And in a simple life, the best way to MAKE A STATEMENT is with sand….

Thank you, Jenny, for plucking me from the grips of reality even for just awhile! The short time made such a big difference!

These photos will be a constant reminder of the Sabang simplicity I just experienced and a simple life I yearn for someday… Keeping my eye on the prize. 😉

P.S. Even the playboys will eventually want to simplify….
