Eye-Popping Shopping Palawan-Style!

Any weekend of wellness should include a really, REALLY good therapy session….. Retail therapy.

At the other end of the island in Sabang, Palawan were quaint boutiques catering to our special need…. To shop!  This particular one was called Passengers Only Shop.  A catchy name, don’t you think?

I hope one day to have my own boutique if this view was just outside my shop’s window…

Colors just seem to pop at a beach town!  Perhaps the combination of the bright sun, powdery sand and blue waters provide the perfect backdrop to allow these colors to standout….

You can never have enough sarongs and sun dresses for the beach if you live in the Philippines. 😉

Adorable and whimsical shell wind chimes and trendy resort accessories out of shells, stones and wood…

We call our new hip, wooden cuffs our friendship bracelets 😉

And of course, who can resist souvenir shopping?  We couldn’t, that’s for sure!!!!!

Even magnets were on my list of purchases….

I don’t need it, but I gotta’ have one of these!  Haha!  Palawan’s in line with fashion’s tribal trend…

One of my favorite purchases were these key chains to give away to friends, family and my staff….

These key chains were carved out of recycled plastic into animals and sea life that are indigenous to Palawan. I’m a sucker for recycled products!

But the shopping didn’t stop there!  While lazing and sunbathing in my lounge chair, I bought these gorgeous South Sea cultured pearls (dog not included) from a beach vendor….

Their irregular shape made it even more appealing to me. I can’t wait to convert these into dangling earrings with chain fringes among other things.

But if you want something to remember Sambang, Palawan by…. Besides the memories, something that will stick with you forever…. You may want to go here….

They don’t just tattoo, they’re PRENDLY too! 😉

A pat on the back for Jenny and I who just naturally avoided alcohol and nicotine the entire trip!  Truly a wellness weekend!

Be on the lookout for my next entry where Jenny and I had to go undercover in Sabang, Palawan to accomplish a mission!
