Global Glare: Icelandic Delights & Shopping Sights

Especially for someone who works in the fashion industry, when traveling, touring the shopping “sights” are just as important as the country’s national sites.

An array of wonderful store fronts and window displays and some in-store visuals mostly in Laugavegur, a main shopping street in downtown Reykjavik…

Modern times call for a different version of the Lopapeysa or the Iceland sweater. This time the details are silkscreened…

Fun sights along the way…

Off to Iceland’s largest flea market (Kolaportid) near the harbour. Here you get an idea of the Icelandic people in their natural habitat. Saw puffin meat and fermented shark in the market section.

Then from the corner of my eye (the left one for those who know me!), I see this! (And check out the big box of Chippy next to it on the floor!)
