Fanta-SEE Fashion with Sense & Style Magazine

Taking Filipino fashion up  a notch (or two or three) with this shoot I put together for the September issue of Sense & Style Magazine.

Prepping the edgy and intricate outfits…

And finishing touches on our gorgeous supermodel, Girlie Benitez…

Black long dress with pina bib by Tippi Ocampo with a modern Filipino handmade tambourine necklace with coral and turquoise by Ann Ong… Making the final touches with the ‘Resurgence’ repousse payneta or Filipino traditional hair comb with hand hammered copper sheets with opal, red coral & turquoise stones by Ming Ong-Moya for Kathang Kamay.

Some of the action taking place behind the scenes.

One of my favorite looks….

I love how the body piece (made of a replica of bull mandibles joined together by an abaca rope) by sculptor Marionne Contreras gave off a Nordic feel as well. This fierce ensemble made it to the opening spread. Meet my Filipino warrior princess….

Here are the rest of the beautiful images by amazing master photographer, Lilen Uy, and all the fashion, art and accessories are proudly made in the Philippines…
